About Fits Your Kit
We help photographers and filmmakers choose camera bags that fit their actual kit, body, and shooting scenarios—not a logo. From wedding double-body setups to ultralight travel rigs and run-and-gun video kits, we map real loadouts to fit profiles, field-test on repeatable routes, and publish transparent results you can trust.
Mission Statement We exist to deliver a data-backed bag match that protects your gear, frees your movement, and disappears into your workflow—so creativity leads.
Our Brand Story We started Fits Your Kit Camera Bags after years of buying packs that looked great online but failed under real weight, weather, and timelines. So we built CarryFit Labs: a testing approach that begins with your loadout (camera bodies, lenses, drone, audio), your body (torso length, shoulders/chest), and your scenario (city commute, wedding day, alpine hike, airport sprint). We run every bag through the same routes, with the same weights, and measure what matters: comfort distribution, access speed, weather resistance, and impact protection. The result is clarity—accurate capacity maps, predictable access times, and long-term durability notes that make returns rare and confidence high.
What We Measure (and Why)
- Comfort and stability: even load distribution, strap/harness performance, back-panel breathability, and external carry sway under set weights.
- Access speed and workflow: timed drills to first shot and lens changes; zipper/closure noise for quiet sets; strap management that stays out of frame and out of mics.
- Protection and weather: drop and corner-impact survivability with instrumented dummies; sustained rain and dust ingress checks; no-compromise laptop/document organization.
- Travel viability: airline carry-on compliance verified by dimensions and test bins; regional tips; one-bag vs two-bag system guidance.
Our Team
- Lead Test Editor: a working photographer who designs our loadouts and timing protocols for stills and hybrid shoots.
- Field Videographer: stress-tests access, external carry for gimbals/tripods, and quiet operation around live audio.
- Ergonomics Advisor: focuses on harness geometry, inclusive fit across body types, and pressure-point mitigation for 8–12 hour days.
- Materials & Repair Tech: evaluates fabric, foam, zippers, and hardware longevity; tracks repairability and warranty outcomes.
- Data & Routes Analyst: maintains our standardized routes (urban, trail, airport), records metrics, and ensures cross-bag comparability.
How We Operate We buy or borrow bags, disclose relationships, and never accept payment for placement or positive coverage. Our scoring is published with definitions, so you can see exactly why a bag ranks where it does. If a long-term update changes our view, we revise the review and note the change. Your trust is our north star.
If you want a bag to disappear in the field so you can focus on the shot, you’re in the right place. Tell us your kit and route—CarryFit Labs will do the rest.
